As big fans of Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal (1982), Weta Workshop is thrilled to delve into the world of Thra and create premium collectibles for this iconic film. The Skeksis have been separated from their other half, the urRu, for too long; only by repairing the Crystal of Truth can balance be restored to the world of Thra. It is up to the Gelflings Jen and Kira, the last of their kind, to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Together, they must overcome the dangers and deceptions laid before them by the evil Skeksis. "When the triple sun shines alone, what was shattered and unmade shall be whole, the two made by Gelfling hands or by none."

In a shrouded valley, lost to time, a Gelfling boy is nurtured and taught by the wise mystics.

SPECIAL BASE DESIGN

The three circular bases of varying sizes across our 1:6 scale Dark Crystal series represent the three suns in the sky of Thra; the dying sun, the rose sun and the great sun. Familiar iconography from the floor of the Crystal Chamber is featured throughout. Spy watchSkek symbols, which have since been appropriated as signs of discord and Skeksi aggression.
