Driven to the brink of madness by the relentless lashings of its vile Orc lords, a cave troll rumbled forth, a giant of dimness yet endowed with the strength of a legion. Its skin was nearly impervious to weapons forged from iron, a testament to the merciless nature of the dark places of the world it inhabited. Clad in its colossal three-fingered grip was a mighty stone hammer, a fearsome instrument of destruction that it wielded with blind fury. With each thunderous swing, friend and foe alike were laid low, crushed beneath the beast's indiscriminate fury as it charged through the chaotic melee, seeking out its quarry with a relentless ferocity that echoed the darkness of its master's hearts.
The Cave Troll was the first creature designed for the iconic film trilogy, and Weta Workshop sculptor Jamie Beswarick played a key role in its overall design. In the early days, the look and feel of Middle-earth's inhabitants were still being defined, and artists were encouraged to imagine not only their appearance, but also their habits and history. This approach aimed to develop a level of authenticity that went beyond the typical fantasy genre.
Consequently, these lumbering giants were equipped with thick skins, three-fingered hands, powerful jaws and claws suitable for digging. It was these defining characteristics that Jamie Beswarick was once again tasked with recreating, this time in miniature form. Capturing the raw strength and ferocity of such a creature and infusing every detail with untamed anger and fury, our incredible team has managed to capture the very essence of this behemoth.
Perfectly sized for easy display and ideal for any desktop or bookshelf, this Cave Troll miniature statue would make an excellent addition to your Weta Workshop collection.

- Depicts the Cave Troll as seen in the Mines of Moria during the Fellowship of the Ring;
