Based on the original 1900 novel, considered the first North American adventure, set on a farm in the Kansas countryside, the story's protagonist, Dorothy, an orphan girl in her early teens, and her pet dog Toto, are swept away by a hurricane along with their house. Sucked into the heart of the storm, the house spins until it lands and Dorothy realizes that she is not in Kansas anymore and that she must have crossed the rainbow. She finds herself in a place with light blue skies, beautiful green hills, tall trees with juicy fruits and giant flowers in a wonderful landscape.
